Shield Try To Stay Sharp With Exhibition Game
February 23, 2008

Yesterday the Bradford 'B' squad was given a chance to show what they have to offer as they had the opportunity to play an exhibition game against the Shield. With the Shield having a bye in the first round of the GMHL playoffs, the game was scheduled to keep them sharp aw well as to give some ice time to some of the players from the Bradford roster that don't usually get a chance to play.

The gameplay was a bit more relaxed than usual however in the end the Shield came out victorious by a final score of 8-2 as they easily handled what the Rattlers young guns threw at them.

Each of the Shield goaltenders were given the opportunity to play in the exhibition warm up as Ryan Cote guarded the net in the first period, Steve Brown in the second, and Eric Pye in the third.

The Shield resume practice on monday of next week in preparation for their second round opponent which will most likely be determined sometime later next week after the conclusion of the first round of the 2008 GMHL playoffs.
