The 2007-08 Edition of the South Muskoka Shield played their last game sunday night as they were ousted from the second round of the GMHL playoffs after losing their best-of-7 series 4 games to 1.

The Shield orginazation enjoyed a great improvement with their on-ice record this year finishing with a 19-18-5 record during the regular season compared to a record of 4-34-4 in their inagural year.

The Shield also picked up their first ever playoff victory this season as they prolonged their series with the top ranked Bradford Rattlers to a fifth game.They came out on the winning side of a 6-5 score on saturday night in front of the Shield faithful.
