This year the annual GMHL draft fell on another special day, Mother's Day. The Shield tried to do their part in making the mothers of eleven young hockey players happy by selecting them in this year's edition of the draft....

For the second game in their best of 7 semi-final series, the South Muskoka Shield travelled back to Temiscaming on Saturday. The coach chose to make the trip twice rather than stay over. The game started out great for the Shield with two power play goals...
Shield Lose in Double OT

The first game of the best of seven semi-final series was played in Temiscaming tonight. Even with taking 4 penalties in the first period - including being 2 men short for almost 1:30 – the Shield kept the Titans off the scoreboard until almost half-way through the third period.
